British Ambassador Alastair King-Smith said that we expect to have a spread of accountability on an international scale for all lawbreakers.

Invited to the show “Now” when asked by Erla Mehilli if there will be a declaration of non-grata from the British state, Ambassador King-Smith said that there will be.

He even added that it will not matter what job or role they will have as long as those people are connected to crime and corruption.

Excerpts from the conversation:

Erla Mëhilli: Will there be other announcements on the British blacklist or were you satisfied with the first list? You said there would be?

Ambassador Alastair King Smith: As I mentioned before, we will see what other actions we will take both in Albania and in the region, also globally because we think that accountability is important, and if we can have a stratification of accountability on an international scale. The United Kingdom, like other countries, will take steps to confiscate assets and we await the decisions this year.

Erla Mëhilli: So there will be other announcements of non gratas within the year. Politicians or businessmen? Which ones do you have in your target ads?

Ambassador Alastair King-Smith: It doesn’t matter what job or role someone has. If they are related to crime and corruption, politicians, businessmen, or others they can be specified.
