Prime Minister Edi Rama, in the joint press conference with his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni, also spoke about the agreement with the neighboring state for migrant centers.
Rama said that if he could go back in time, he would do the same thing again—but only with Italy.
“I’m asked the same question—would I do the same thing if I went back in time? With Italy, I would do it 100 times, even though you would be against it 100 times. With other countries, never, and I have told this to other countries as well. And when they ask me why, I tell them: because you are not Italy. We are ready to respond ‘yes’ to Italy because we feel like an integral part of that country,” Rama said.
