Work for the construction of the International Airport of Kukes ‘Zajed’’are close to completion.

On Sunday, April 18th, an airplane with passengers from London is expected to land on its runway.

According to authorities, the runway of 2200 m is complete, whereas the parking area is projected to provide space for 3 planes simultaneously.

Authorities also said that the International Airport in Kukes will offer the lowest prices and it is now attracting low-cost airlines, which will be putting it at competition with the other local airport ‘’Mother Theresa” as well as neighboring countries.

The International Airport of Kukes is the second civil airport in Albania after the one in Rinas.
