Prime Minister Edi Rama announced on his social media that Albania has successfully completed the issuance of its 10-year Eurobond. He described it as a very positive development for the country and listed three key reasons why this issuance was particularly successful.

“The 10-year Eurobond process has just been successfully concluded. We have just received the green light, meaning this was the most successful issuance ever in three aspects: First, the interest from foreign investors was 4.3 times higher than our required amount, and at one point during the day, the demand reached 5.7 times our need, which led to a reduction in the interest rate to filter out some investors. This level of coverage is the highest ever recorded among Central and Eastern European countries since October 2024.

Secondly, we had the highest number of investors ever, with 159 expressing interest. Thirdly, Albania secured a lower interest rate than countries such as Serbia and Romania. This is not just about securing liquidity under very favorable financial conditions, but it also reflects Albania’s new positioning. Essentially, Albania is gaining trust in all areas—politically, economically, and financially,” Prime Minister Rama stated.
