Circulatory diseases seem to be among the leading causes of death in Albania.
Albania ranks fifth in Europe in terms of the number of deaths due to heart disease and hypertension, with 53.7% of total deaths, says a study of the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT).
According to a publication, Bulgaria ranks first with 66% of total deaths from circulatory diseases, followed by Romania, Lithuania and Latvia.
The main causes of cardiovascular disease are sedentary lifestyle, uncontrolled diet and consumption of alcohol or tobacco.
32 people have died from circulatory diseases during 2019.
