The Ministry of Health announced that 37 citizens tested positive over the last 24 hours, while the number of active cases across the country reaching 374, of which 20 have been admitted to hospital.
Authorities did not specify whether there are any patients in intensive therapy.
The majority of the citizens diagnosed with the virus are from Tirana, with an estimated figure of 137 active infections.
The Ministry of Health confirmed to Euronews Albania that the delta variant, widely believed to be a highly contagious form of the virus, has been circulating in the country for about two months.
Health authorities are now urging citizens to get vaccinated in order to avoid severe symptoms and burdening hospitals.
So far, the virus has claimed 2,457 lives in Albania, while more than 133,000 have tested positive.
