On Tuesday morning, Albanian extended its vaccination campaign to include taxi drivers.
Euronews Albania journalist Dorina Halili said that it was the taxi union that had received a confirmation from the Ministry of Health on Monday, giving the green light for their inoculation.
There are around 1.500 taxi drivers waiting to receive a vaccine shot within the next 48 hours, while authorities confirm that the Russian-made jab will be used for their immunization.
Last week, vaccines were administered to public transportation personnel.
According to a tally kept by health authorities, circa 773.000 vaccine doses have been injected so far while 287.000 citizens have received both doses.
Today, new measures will enter into force, including extending curfew to 11 PM, while music in bars will be allowed till 10 PM.
