Tourist flows in Albania are increasing rapidly. Visitors who come to the country outside the summer season have positioned Albania at the top of global charts. The World Tourism Organization ranks Albania third, with a 54% increase in tourism for this year.

Even Eurostat acknowledges the development of tourism in the country and the increase of visitors from Europe and beyond.

Based on European statistics, about a third of tourist nights in Europe are spent in July and August, while in Albania this share reached about 46%, the third after Croatia (59%) and Bulgaria (48%), leaving behind Greece (43%).

In total, about 3,83 million overnight stays were recorded in Albania in 2022, with an increase of 20% compared to the previous year. The improvement occurred in the first part of the year and in the months of September and October, but summer and winter seasons did not lag behind.

According to Eurostat, seasonality has always had a substantial impact on tourism, evident in the patterns of tourist arrivals and nights spent in EU hotels and tourist resorts.

This year is expected to bring new records, in its remaining part, starting from the numerous reservations and their extension throughout the country.
