Prime Minister Edi Rama shared a video message this Friday to mark the opening of the Albania–Turkey Investment Forum 2025.

The head of government stated that Albania today is Turkey’s closest gateway to the European Union, while emphasizing that the country is a reliable partner in security, energy, tourism, and technology.

He noted that the two countries are bound by a strategic alliance, describing the relationship between Albania and Turkey as a brotherly one, and said that both nations “speak the language of hard work and results.”

“Albania today is an open country — a beautiful island of opportunities, a place where you can multiply your investment not in many, but in just a few years.
With very low taxes, green energy, a booming tourism sector, rapidly developing technology, and a market that welcomes Turkish entrepreneurship with open arms.
The Albanian government, more than just a friendly government of a friendly nation, is a strategic partner of a country bound by a strategic alliance with Turkey.
Today, we have gone far beyond expectations: from €250 million to over €1 billion in just the first nine months of this year.
From 300 Turkish-capital enterprises to more than 1,000 today.
From a few hundred employees to 15,000 working in Turkish-owned businesses in our country.
This year alone, 300,000 tourists from Turkey chose Albania — an extraordinary number, considering that not long ago, they could be counted on one hand,” Rama said.

He went on to stress that the trade exchange goals between the two countries have already been surpassed, adding that the bridge connecting Istanbul and Tirana is stronger than ever before.
