The development of Artificial Intelligence is challenging the banking system. For this reason, the governors of European banks have discussed the possibilities for new interventions and regulations at the “Euromoney” forum in Austria.

Artificial Intelligence and computer systems are taking off in the world economy and their control remains a challenge for governments and banks.

At the “Euromoney” forum in Austria, the governor of the Bank of Albania, Gent Sejko, said that the risks coming from them are great and central banks should be ready to intervene with appropriate regulations.

In the presence of his fellow governors, Sejko also spoke about the stability of the local economy.

According to him, in Albania inflation was reduced from 8.3% in November 2023, to the level of 4% in December 2023. At the same time, the maintenance of a solid economic growth of about 3.5% for 2023 has been ensured.

The “Euromoney” forum for the countries of Central and Eastern Europe is an annual activity that brings together well-known figures from the academic, economic and financial fields.
