A 23-year-old Albanian, diagnosed with autism, died after being found unconscious inside a car where he had been staying for hours under high temperatures.

The event happened yesterday in Amarinthos of Evia in Greece. Petrit and Vezire Elezi, 56 and 48 years old from Durrës, found their son Skerdi Elezi, 23 years old, unconscious inside their vehicle, left parked and unsecured outside the apartment. He was transported to the hospital around 12:00 and died around 23:30.

In the early hours of Monday morning, the Greek police arrested the two parents, Petrit and Vezire Elezi, on the charge of leaving their son helpless, who suffered from a neuropsychological disorder, specifically autism – mental retardation, resulting in death. An autopsy of the victim was also ordered.
