The government has added 1.3 billion lek to the health system to cover the increased salaries of doctors and nurses as well as to expand the medical services in hospitals.
“In the framework of the investments made, there are new hospitals, such as the central hospital, the infectious hospital, the pediatric hospital, etc., but also the support with medicines and medical material and imaging and laboratory examinations, which are also increasing”, said the Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu.
The news was announced at the government meeting on Thursday. Other services that will be added to hospitals are bone marrow transplants or invitro fertilization.
