Albanian President Bajram Begaj decrees new ambassadors

The President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, decreed this Monday the release and appointment of Albanian ambassadors.

Former deputy of the Socialist Party Ervin Bushati has been appointed ambassador to the United States of America. Ridi Kurtezi has been released from the post of Ambassador in Montenegro to perform the same function in the United Arab Emirates.

Decree:

The President of the Republic, in implementation of his constitutional and legal powers, based on Article 92, letter “dh”, Article 93 of the Constitution, as well as Article 26, point 2 of Law no. 23/2015, “For the foreign service of the Republic of Albania” at the proposal of the Prime Minister, decreed the dismissals and appointments of Ambassadors as follows:

1. Released by Decree no. 103 dated 10.7.2023 Mr. Ridi Kurtezi from the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania in Montenegro, resident.

2. Released by Decree no. 104 dated 10.7.2023 Mr. Artur Kuko from the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Federal Republic of Germany, resident.

3. Released by Decree no. 105 dated 10.7.2023 Mr. Kastriot Robo from the office of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Turkey, resident, and from the office of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Azerbaijan, to the Islamic Republic of Iran, to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in Georgia, in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and in the Republic of Kazakhstan, non-resident.

4. Released by Decree no. 106 date 10.7.2023 Ms. Floreta Faber from the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the United States of America, resident, and from the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the United States of Mexico, the Republic of Panama, the Dominican Republic, Republic of Guatemala and in the Republic of Costa Rica, non-resident.

5. Released by Decree no. 107 date 10.7.2023 Ms. Adia Sakiqi from the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, resident, and from the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), non-resident.

6. Appointed by Decree no. 108 date 10.7.2023 Ms. Zhaklina Peto, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania in Montenegro, resident.

7. Appointed by Decree no. 109 dated 10.7.2023 Ms. Adia Sakiqi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Federal Republic of Germany, resident.

8. Appointed by Decree no. 110 date 10.7.2023 Mrs. Blerta Kadzadej, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Turkey, resident, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Azerbaijan, to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, to Georgia, to the Republic Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan, non-resident.

9. Appointed by Decree no. 111 dated 10.7.2023 Mr. Ervin Bushati Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the United States of America, resident, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the United States of Mexico, the Republic of Panama, the Dominican Republic, the Republic of Guatemala and the Republic of Costa Rica, non-resident.

10. Appointed by Decree no. 112 date 10.7.2023 Mr. Ridi Kurtezi Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania in the United Arab Emirates, resident.
