Albanians have chosen Korça as a destination to spend the end of the year holidays and for this reason the Municipality has responded with two calendars of events.

Almost every day of December, there will be artistic performances in the “Andon Zako Çajupi” theater, while there will also be musical concerts in different squares of the southeastern city.

“The municipality has prepared a larg calendar with cultural activities, there are two separate calendars. One for the theater which almost every day has theatrical performances and an outdoor calendar In the Old Market square and the panoramic tower square, where two stages are placed. In the stage, very well-known names of Albanian music, live music groups, dj will perform so that the visitors will not only enjoy the decor but also this calendar and the liveliness until January 2”, says Benila Themeli, the deputy mayor of Korçë municipality.

A special event in the largest city of the south-east of the country will be that of the turn of the year.

“At the time of the turn of the year, we will happen a fireworks show and a DJ in the center of the city, we will have music and not too many fireworks, not only for the residents but also for the many visitors who have overflowed the hotels this December”, she says.

The artistic calendar started on Saturday evening with the concert of 21 guitars in the city’s pedestrian area, while tourist operators say that there are no free accommodation places for Christmas and New Year’s Eve in Korça.
