The head of the DP parliamentary group after the meeting of the College of Speakers said that the DP must come up with 1 common candidate in each municipality in order to be the winner.

Alibeaj said that the Reestablishment candidates from the primaries are welcome so that the victory of the Democratic Party is certain in every municipality. Regarding the decision of the Court of Appeal on the seal, he said that this is not a moment of triumph or revenge, but a moment of historical responsibility.

“I proposed three issues, and I found support. Regarding alliances, DP undertakes to build the widest possible alliance of center-right parties to maximize votes. Secondly, regarding the municipal councils, it has been approved that I should immediately start work by inviting the democrats who have stayed in the difficult moments of the Democratic Party, to become and will be part of the lists. Thirdly, regarding the candidates, I have proposed primary voting from the re-establishment group and other candidates to DP and we have found support, the opening without any restrictions. The only goal is to come out with a single candidate in each municipality”, said Alibeaj.

Alibeaj said that he is and feels the leader of the DP, while Lulzim Basha has resigned and the new chairman has not been elected yet.
