Who is Altin Dumani?
Altin Dumani comes from the ranks of the Appellate Prosecutor’s Office.
He was born in Shupenze, Dibra. He is one of the prosecutors who first led the Task Force unit, set up years ago to fight white-collar crime.
He has a career of 20 years as a prosecutor. In March 1999, he stepped into the prosecutor’s office for the first time, with a post in Saranda, while today he is the commanding head of the prosecution of the Appeal for Serious Crimes.
He became head of the prosecution for the first time in Tropoja in 2000, a post according to Dumani that was rejected by many others because of the problematic issues there.
He caused a stir with the icy attitude he maintained during the trial of the 29 defendants of Gerdec and the 3 life sentences he requested for three of the main defendants of the March 15, 2008 tragedy.
When asked why he decided to be part of SPAK, Dumani answered by saying that he has left aside the convenience of the appeal prosecution and will devote himself to the fight against crime.
