Euronews Albania journalist, Eni Ferhati, says that the current head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, knows the January 21 file very well.

Ferhati said that at the time when the incident happened, Dumani was a prosecutor in the Court of Appeal where he followed him and prepared a report on this matter.

“January 21 could not end, in my personal judgment, with the punishment of only two people, while a number of officials of the time were questioned as suspects. We have seen on film that they were not negligent homicides, explained even by experts who know well the use of firearms. Even for the prosecutors at that time, this was an absurd decision, either for prosecutor Shkelqim Hajdari, or for prosecutor Altin Dumani.

The only information that can give hope to the majority is the fact that the head of SPAK was the Appeal prosecutor for the case and knows the file very well. He appeared in the Appeal, he prepared a part of the report together with his colleague at that time. For how long, the prosecutors at that time in the Appeal, requested “intentional murder” for the officers of the Guard of the Republic, they definitely had a conviction referring to the evidence, materials, and investigations”, he emphasized.
