The ambassador of the United States of America, Jeffrey Hovenier, will finish his mandate in Kosovo at the end of the month.
He said on Tuesday at a conference organized by NDI on Tuesday that the service in Pristina will be his last and that at the end of the year he would retire.
“I will retire after 34 years and seven months, at the end of December,” said Hovenier.
He expressed his gratitude for the cooperation with the institutions in Kosovo, but also to the Biden administration for the opportunity given to serve in the State Department.
Among other things, Hovenier emphasized that the ambassadors are in focus, “but the real work and dedication comes from all of you”.
Ambassador Hovenier gave these comments on the second day of the eighth edition of the DISICON Information Integrity Conference.
