The Ambassador of the United States to Albania commended a joint operation carried by SPAK and Italy’s Anti-Mafia Investigation Directorate (DIA).
According to Ambassador Yuri Kim, the claims that the justice reform is not yielding any substantial results are unfounded and emphasized that the latest drug-ring bust proves that impunity is coming to an end.
Ambassador Kim also reiterated that the United States will continue to support SPAK and Albania’s Bureau of Investigation, as the two crackdown on those who abuse the power delegated by their post and illicit enrichment.
2/2 🇺🇸 will continue to support SPAK & NBI as they investigate & prosecute those who abuse their office or wrongly enrich themselves – while impoverishing 🇦🇱- thru criminal activity. Justice reform has not been easy, quick or perfect, but it’s moving forward & producing results. https://t.co/cyFkhxoXdO
