The Ambassador of the European Union to Albania, Luigi Soreca, held a video conference with several representatives of the European Parliament to inform them over preliminary election results.

Ambassador Soreca emphasized that the EU had a “great exchange” with OSCE/ODIHR on preliminary findings and conclusions of the April 25 parliamentary polls.

The head of the European Union Mission to Albania also underlined the importance of continuing to pursue the ongoing reforms in order for Albania to join the EU.

“The new Albanian Parliament and government are expected to continue the reforms with determination and in an inclusive political dialogue with the opposition”, Ambassador Soreca said.
