The anti-corruption resolution proposed by the Socialist Party was approved with 76 votes in favor in the Assembly.
Also, the Resolution received two votes against, which were deputies Agron Shehaj and Dashnor Sula and no abstentions. Opposition MPs did not participate in the vote.
This resolution has been opposed by the opposition, who have declared that it is a mockery on the part of the government, which has been in power for 11 years.
Earlier, representatives of Reestablishment declared that the corruption of Prime Minister Edi Rama’s government cannot be hidden through a resolution.
Meanwhile, before the resolution was voted, Prime Minister Edi Rama invited the opposition from the floor of the parliament to vote on the anti-corruption resolution presented by the Socialist Party in this Monday’s session.
In his speech, Rama emphasized that the resolution is made with the aim of setting up a new front of statehood and the fight against corruption that will make Albania a member of the European Union in 2030.
The head of the government said that no one can stop this resolution from being approved, so he appealed to the opposition to become part of the voting and the special commission that will be set up afterwards.
