Antony Blinken signed two memorandums with Albania

The American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, during his visit to Tirana signed 2 memorandums with Albania.

These memoranda are related to protection against cyber attacks and the academic exchange program “Fulbright”.

From the Albanian side, the Foreign Minister, Igli Hasani, signed these memorandums.

After the signing, Blinken, together with Prime Minister Edi Rama, held a press conference, where the messages of the Secretary of State were not missing, both for the reform in the judiciary and for the issue of Kosovo.

Blinken said that despite the fact that it has been difficult, the justice reform has begun to yield results. Speaking about Kosovo, the secretary of state said that the EU-enabled dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia is the next step to calm the situation.

The American Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, ended his visit to Tirana and left for Rinas, as the vehicle he travels in is accompanied by an escort consisting of dozens of police cars and vans.

He is expected to go to Germany, Munich, where is expected to hold important security-related meetings.

During his visit, Blinken held meetings with President Bajram Begaj, Prime Minister Edi Rama, the heads of justice institutions, including the head of SPAK, Altin Duman, as well as with the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, Igli Hasani.
