The Court of Appeal ruled to leave former deputy interior minister Rovena Voda on house arrest after she was charged with bribery.

SPAK claims that the former official had received a considerable sum from two other citizens in exchange for a post in the public administration.

“I have not breached the law nor exerted power. I’ve rigorously respected the law in exercising my duty”, said Voda during the hearing.

Rovena Voda was discharged on July 29, 2021, a post she had been appointed to 4 years ago. During her time in office, she also served as the director of the task force against the cultivation and trafficking of cannabis.
