Since October 7, the application of the flu vaccine has started in all health centers. It will be offered free of charge to risk groups and will be carried out according to a calendar determined by the health structures.
The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Koçiu, was at the Health Center No. 6 in Tirana where, after receiving the flu vaccine herself, she appealed to all citizens, especially those with chronic diseases, not to neglect the vaccination.
“To go to health centers to get the flu vaccine and to live a healthy winter without viruses and above all without the complications that viruses bring. So get vaccinated now”, said Minister Koçiu.
The minister informed that within the framework of the National Vaccination Program, 280,000 vaccine doses have already been distributed throughout the country.
The groups for which the flu vaccine is recommended are children 6 months to 12 years old, health workers, teachers, police officers, people suffering from chronic diseases, pregnant women and citizens over 60 years old.
