The head of the EU’s foreign policy, Josep Borrell, has said that he is very alarmed by the situation in the north of Kosovo.
He has strongly criticized Kosovo, reacting after the new arrests by the Kosovo Police against suspects of violence against KFOR and after the regular march of the Kosovo Army in southern Mitrovica.
“Very alarmed about the situation in the north of Kosovo: with the extrajudicial arrests of Serbs & the march of the Kosovo Security Force in southern Mitrovica; followed by a harsh rhetoric from Serbia”, wrote Borrell in a post on Twitter,
He said that this increasing escalation will not be tolerated.
“Despite the crisis meeting yesterday, the tension is continuing and becoming more dangerous. We will not tolerate it”, he added.
