The National Assembly of the Democratic Party, convened on Saturday by its leader Lulzim Basha, approved the changes in the party’s statute.

Based on the changes approved in today’s Assembly, Lulzim Basha is also the head of the parliamentary group.

Another change in the statute foresees the reduction of the powers of the general secretary.

Assembly has also approved changes related to the membership of the Democratic Party.

Thus, in the new statute it is stated that all members of the party who have run for political entities that have not been in coalition with DP are expelled from the party. So, all the democrats who ran on May 14 or in the partial elections on March 6, will no longer be members of the DP
