In the context of cooperation with the Bundestag and the parliaments of the German Lands, the Speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, is conducting an official visit to the Lands of Bremen and North Rhine-Westphalia.
During the visit to Bremen, President Nikola met with the President of the Parliament of Bremen, Mrs. Anje Grotheer.
After evaluating the excellent political relations between Albania and Germany and the intensive high-level political dialogue, Mrs. Nikolla underlined the possibility and usefulness of cooperation with the parliaments of the lands. “The decentralization of parliamentary cooperation between the Assembly and the Lands is a way to bring the institutions, businesses and people of our countries closer together.
Cooperation with Bremen, as an important economic and cultural center of Germany, is of great interest. The cooperation of the Assembly with the Parliament of the Land will promote cooperation between other institutions as well as economic and commercial cooperation in the fields of energy, tourism, telecommunications, infrastructure, agribusiness, educational, cultural cooperation and in other sectors. The cooperation can also include the Land’s support to the European integration of the Western Balkans, in the context of the Berlin Process,” emphased Nikolla.
President of the Parliament of Bremen, Antje Grotheer, pointed out that the Parliament and other institutions of the Land welcome the cooperation with the Assembly, institutions and Albanian cities. In addition to economic and trade cooperation and the promotion of investments, Speaker Grotheer emphasized the importance of promoting cooperation between young MPs and youth parliaments.
Nikolla invited the President of the Parliament of Bremen, Antje Grotheer, for an official visit to the Parliament of Albania.
