The Ministry of Tourism and the Environment in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection has drafted a protocol clearly specifying the anti-COVID measures that will be in force during the tourist season 2021.

Even though the epidemiologic situation has improved, the protocol for this season has remained almost unchanged from the one last year.

The conditions expected to be met by a beach station depending on types A and B are as follows:

For beach umbrellas and lounge chairs, a distance of at least 7 meters from the coastline should be respected; The space between umbrellas (from one to the other) there shouldn’t be a distance smaller than 3.5 meters, in a horizontal line, parallel with the coastline, and not smaller than 3.5 meters, on a vertical line. Showers with unsalted water should be made available for every 100 beach umbrellas, which should also be equipped with soap and hygienic gel.

The protocol requires the daily and periodic disinfection of beach chairs and beds.

Tables in bars and restaurants should be placed at a distance no less than 2 meters from one another.

Unlike last summer, pools will be allowed during the entire season and they too will be required to comply with the measures set out by the new protocol.

They should be disinfected daily, whereas their lounge chairs and beds should be placed at a distance of at least 2 meters from one set to the other.

In the receptions of the hospitality enterprises, there should be an availability of disinfectant solutions containing at least 70-85% alcohol. In addition, tourists should keep a distance of at least 2 meters from one another.

Their bar and restaurant tables should also be placed in a way, where the distance from the back part of a chair to the other chair should be at least 1 meter apart.

The personnel serving food should be equipped with masks during the entire time of their service. They should also wear plastic gloves, whenever handling food.

Clients should keep a 1.5 meters distance, when obtaining services in all areas of the beach stations as well as during walks on the beach.

Events should be organized in open spaces, with no more than 50 people and social distancing should be respected.

Every touristic operation is recommended to visibly display and put up the obligatory anti-COVID measures around their premises.
