The former deputy of the Democratic Party, Azgan Haklaj, commented from the studio of Euronews Albania on the internal state and ongoing conflicts within the Democratic Party.
Haklaj said that former Prime Minister Berisha and the MPs who support him are in great trouble, as they are in a political, diplomatic, and legal crisis.
According to him, they do not have the majority of support within the DP, since the majority is silent.
“Berisha appeals to the crowds as he has always done to achieve his personal goals as he is in dire straits. In the beginning, it started with the slogan for the opening, strengthening, and unification of the DP. This never happened. Sali Berisha is in great trouble and the pulpit is in great trouble as they are in a political, legal and diplomatic crisis. It is in a political crisis since Mr. Berisha does not have the majority as he claims, since the majority is silent. It is in a diplomatic crisis because no one recognizes it and it is in a legal crisis because the court does not recognize it. The Democratic Party has the duty to tear down the walls and the corruption that resulted in the declaration of Berisha as a persona non-grata”, said Haklaj.
