The leader of the Democratic Party headed to the Albanian Assembly on Friday morning after a 30-month boycott.
However, on his way to the Parliament, Lulzim Basha was followed by a crowd of Berisha’s supporters shouting ‘shame’.

Basha chose to walk from the DP’s headquarters to the Assembly, where earlier during the day he cad called the parliamentary group to meet up ahead of the first session of the tenth legislative.
Basha was accompanied by Shkodra MP-elect Zef Hila and Andia Ulliri, the youngest MP-elect in the Albanian Parliament.
‘Basha’s decision deserves respect’
The US Embassy to Tirana maintained that the decision of DP’s leader ‘deserves respect’, adding that the DP found the strength to “break away from the past in order to build its future”.
