High Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade filed an appeal on Friday against the decision of the judge who rejected her request for the detention of Milan Radoičić earlier this week, she confirmed to Radio Free Europe (REL).
The prosecution filed a complaint due to the risk of Radoicic’s escape, after the armed attack on September 24 in the village of Banjské, in the north of Kosovo, for which Milan Radoičić himself took responsibility.
The High Public Prosecutor’s Office told REL that the complaint was submitted “because of the incorrect and incomplete factual situation”.
“The appeal requests the change of the decision taken and the appointment of detention for the suspects”, says the response of the Prosecutor’s Office.
The Kosovo Police was attacked by an armed Serb group in the village of Banjské, in the municipality of Zveçan on September 24, where Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed. In the ensuing fighting in the village monastery, three Serb attackers were killed.
