The candidate of the Opposition coalition for the Municipality of Tirana, Belind Kellici, during the speech he delivered today in Parliament, in his last session after handing over the mandate, expressed his reservations and criticism towards the DP itself.

During the reflection that he held on what he called the turning of the back that the politics of the Parliament have done to the citizens, Kelliçi did not even spare his own.

“With many DP colleagues, we have tried to stand firm in defense of the public interest, to raise causes, to fight corruption, as with the denunciations we have made, or with concrete cases such as that of the investigative commission on the incinerator affair. But, I can’t say that we have succeeded enough. We didn’t shine either, because even among us, at one point an internal conflict took place, which took a lot of time and a lot of energy. And, even though we have stood on some principles and values, I cannot say that we have served the citizens with our sherranja, nor have we been able to protect their interest in the best way”, he asserted.

Kellici also spoke about the model that that political world has offered so far and in particular ‘the renaissance’ movement.

He said he rejects this model, and added that he will fight it with all his might.

“I still have a lot to learn, luckily I’m still young. But one thing I know well. The political model that you, this hall, this prime minister and this government have offered, will never be the model that I will follow. But it will be the model that I will fight with as much power as I have”, declared Belind Kellici.
