Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha is attending the General Assembly of the Centrist Democrat International (IDC-CDI) in Brussels, where he serves as one of the organization’s Vice Presidents.
The assembly has brought together political leaders, former presidents, Members of the European Parliament, and representatives of member parties from Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia to discuss global political developments, challenges to democracy, the strengthening of the rule of law, and international cooperation.
The proceedings were opened by IDC-CDI President and former Colombian President Andrés Pastrana, while the Secretary General’s report was presented by Member of the European Parliament Antonio López-Istúriz. The assembly’s agenda includes speeches by political leaders, plenary discussions involving members of the Executive Committee and representatives of member parties, as well as the adoption of resolutions on key international policy issues.
In his capacity as Vice President of IDC-CDI, Berisha is taking part in leading the proceedings of the forum, which is regarded as one of the most important platforms for cooperation among centre-right political parties worldwide.
His participation in the General Assembly reaffirms the Democratic Party’s active role in international forums and its commitment to strengthening ties with political partners that share the values of democracy, freedom, and the rule of law.
