The chairman of the Democratic Party of Albania, Sali Berisha, held a meeting at the party headquarters with Peter Beyer, the rapporteur for Albania in the German Bundestag.

In a statement to the media after the meeting, Berisha said he had informed the senior Christian Democratic Union of Germany official about all the issues and concerns currently facing the opposition and the country.

“I presented to him all the views of the opposition regarding these developments and assured him that we remain firmly committed to the project of Albania’s integration into Europe, as the best project and the project for a better future for Albania and Albanians.

Naturally, I also informed him about the major and very serious obstacles, the situation of a complete blockage of the justice system, the drug cartels and their very great power due to their connections at the highest levels, and other difficulties we face, but also about our determination to continue our efforts in this country to implement the projects we have.
