The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, gathered the group an hour before the announced protest in front of the Parliament building in Tirana.

Berisha said that the majority in the Parliament has seriously violated the Constitution, treating the Democratic MPs in the most unconstitutional manner.

“Their rights have been violated, they have been divided like never before in the history of the parliament. For the right to speak, the MPs were expelled from the parliament, others, in violation of every law and rule, were declared expelled from the group by orders of Edi Rama. But the opposition MPs do not represent only themselves, but 750,000 voters who voted for the opposition forces in the last elections. To ignore 750,000 voters in this way, to behave with this brutality and this fierce hostility towards them does nothing but call for open conflict,” said Berisha.

The chief democrat said that the Parliament will be the epicenter of the revolution which, according to him, will spread to all four corners of the country.
