The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, during his speech from the Foltorja, spoke about Sunday’s protest, addressing the protesters by telling them that they are the hope of the country. Berisha emphasized that through protests they can remove Prime Minister Edi Rama and restore law, justice, and the Constitution in the country.

According to him, with Rama at the head of the government, there is no future in Albania. He added that they believe in democratic values and that they will achieve their goals through a peaceful uprising. Berisha stressed that they will continue protesting, calling it a battle, and that they will stop only with their full victory.

“Tell us then, dear fellow citizens, what should we do? There is only one path: to protest, to protest, to protest until victory. Yesterday, Edi Rama used violence, and absolutely everything will be returned to him.

Nothing will remain unpaid back to him. But on this path, there is no force in the world that can stop us. We will restore Albania, just as we restored it in 1992 to the path of democracy, the path of the future, the path of integration into the EU.

We will take Albania’s fate into our own hands. We will reject every deception of this regime and rise stronger with each passing day.

Our protests from December until today, during which Europe and the world saw a people in the streets, saw both anger and revolt.

They saw an Albania that does not accept corruption, that does not accept the theft of citizens, that does not accept such governance. This is why each of our protests becomes world news.

Every protest is eagerly awaited by free people around the world. It is eagerly awaited by Albanians. Therefore, we remain determined: protest, protest, uprising, uprising, and only peaceful uprising.

So let us continue undefeated, tireless, determined until our victory. Edi Rama has no future. He can never block Albania’s path to the EU.

He can never extinguish the European dream of Albanians. He can never trample on the fate of Albanians. Therefore, everyone rise, let us continue this battle until our full victory,” Berisha said, among other things.
