The head of the DP Sali Berisha said in a statement to the media that today the Albanian Parliament had a day of shame after it rejected the request of a group of MPs to discuss the relationship between the head of the government Edi Rama and the former FBI agent McGonigal.
Berisha issued accusations against the prime minister, saying that the latter’s actions have put the security of the USA, NATO, and the EU at risk.
“Today was a day of shame for the Albanian Parliament. Parliament rejected the most legitimate request of a group of MPs to hold an urgent debate on an issue that has shaken free countries to the core. Imagine what affair Albania is involved in. Imagine how this prime minister, in his actions, has put the security of the USA, NATO and the EU at risk.
A hitman took money from Rama to “kill” the Albanian opposition. Rama is today the most incriminated man in Europe and beyond. I have the deep conviction that justice will say its word to this criminal. But Albanians must speak before this. Rama treated the head of the FBI as a private asset,” he said.
