Adolescence is accompanied by a series of changes, physical, physiological and emotional. Psychologists say that the problems of teenagers are numerous and are mainly related to social relations, the various difficulties they may have in communication, or in finding their role in class, school or family.
Bullying remains an adolescent challenge. Psychosocial services are offered in all 9-year education schools, where students are referred for various problems.
“The most frequent complaints are about social relationships, that is, about the difficulties they have to associate with each other or the conflicts that may be and if we go further we can see other difficulties related to anxiety in general, social anxiety in particular, bullying, we can find disorders with the image, difficulties with creating the right image, identity, eating disorders, sleep disorders”, said Bora Ibro, psychologist at the 9-year school “Hasan Tahsin”.
The changes start from the age of 12, so even psychologists ask that parents be present and listen to their children.
“To be present, that’s the only way we can understand a little more than what we see with the naked eye. Without their presence and an open communication with children it is very difficult to understand where the genesis of a problem lies, as few changes as possible in their lives because they themselves are in doubt and need stability and security, the more rules we have”, – Bora Ibro, psychologist, 9-year school “Hasan Tahsin”.
When it comes time to ask for psychological help, children are more open to share their problems with the psychologist, but the problem lies with the parents who find it more difficult to approach or accept the help.
