British MP Nigel Farage has continued his public spat with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, firing back with updated figures in a post on Twitter.

Tagging Rama directly, Farage wrote that there are 53,000 Albanian nationals living in the United Kingdom, of whom 1,099 are currently in prison. He emphasized that this equates to 1 in every 48 Albanians being incarcerated, and vowed to request that the Home Secretary arrange for all of them to be returned to Albania.

He ended his post with a sharp remark: “Thank you for your cooperation.”

“There are 53,000 Albanian nationals in the UK and 1,099 of them are in our prisons. That’s actually 1 in 48. I will ask the Home Secretary to organise for all of them to be sent back to you. Thank you for your cooperation,” wrote Farage.

This exchange follows a previous statement by Farage, where he accused Albanians of playing a major role in crime across the UK and claimed that 1 in 50 Albanians living in the country were in prison.

Prime Minister Rama had pushed back strongly against those claims, calling them exaggerated and challenging Farage to a debate based on actual data. Rama had also declared that if Farage’s figures were proven accurate, Albania would willingly accept the return of all those prisoners.

In turn, Rama said that if Farage’s claims turned out to be false, he would welcome him to Albania—on the condition that, next time someone disparages Albanians, Farage himself would be the first to speak out in their defense.
