The well-known analyst of international relations, Janush Bugajski, in an interview for Euronews Albania, supports the conditions set by Albin Kurti for the Association.

But according to him, the international factor should put more pressure on Serbia and make its membership conditional on Kosovo’s conditions.

According to Bugajski, sooner or later Serbia will recognize Kosovo, but according to him, this is more likely to happen when Russia loses the war and the role of its intervention in the Balkans.

“Actually, I am optimistic that sooner or later this will happen. Maybe it won’t happen during this government, that is, the government of Vucic. It is more likely to happen when Russia loses the war in Ukraine, it weakens and no longer intervenes in the Balkans. More likely to happen. And it will most likely happen when tougher conditions are imposed on Belgrade to accept Kosovo’s independence. So in other words, you agree to open the EU membership path, otherwise there is no possibility of membership, but you will also lose EU funds”, said the analyst.
