A 33-year-old man suffered a harsh beating in Tirana after, according to police, he attempted to violently rob a residence in the capital but was confronted by the homeowner, who managed to neutralize him by punching him repeatedly.

Regarding this incident, police arrested the suspect, identified as A.Z., 33, in the act, while also initiating legal proceedings against the homeowner on the grounds that he acted under conditions of vigilantism.

Police Statement:
“Citizen A.Z., 33 years old, was arrested, and materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office, where proceedings were initiated against citizen S.L., after it is suspected that the 33-year-old attempted to violently rob the home of S.L., who, acting as a vigilante, punched him,” the statement read.
