Tourist season in Vlora has just started and along the coastline there are campers with foreign citizens who have Vlora as part of their stops. From different parts of the world, they have settled in the few remaining public spaces. For Euronews Albania, they show what impressed them in Albania.

“We come from Germany, we’ve been along the coast and we saw a lot of construction and it upset us a little, but it’s beautiful. We were in Greece and on the way back home we decided to stay in Albania. Nature and people are wonderful. The camping conditions are good, but if I have to compare them with Europe, they are the least good, the prices are ok,” said a tourist.

“We have just started our trip to Albania, we came from Greece and I must say that it is an amazing coast. There is a lot of construction on the beaches and we had a little trouble finding a place to stay. Good conditions, nothing special but wonderful food,” said another tourist.

“We have been here for three days and the scenery is incomparable. Some friends told me that it is very beautiful in Albania, but there is dirt, to tell the truth, I did not see it. I really like it here, I thought the prices were cheaper, but they are still cheap for us,” said a tourist.

“I’m from the Netherlands, it’s my first time coming. We are returning from a few weeks in Greece and on the way back we decided to visit Albania. It’s a place I’ve never been before. I like nature, people, food. What I don’t like are the garbage, we were near the river yesterday and we saw a lot of plastic,” said another.

Every year more and more vacationers with campers choose Albanian Riviera. Nature and low prices remain some of the reasons why foreigners choose Vlora as their holiday destination, but as they proved, the conditions to absorb as many such tourists as possible are lacking.
