Catholic believers celebrate Easter, the day of Christ’s resurrection, one of the most important events in the religious calendar.

In Tirana, the solemn mass was held in the cathedral of “St. Paul”. The Mass at St. Paul’s Cathedral was led by the Metropolitan Archbishop, Monsignor Arjan Dodaj, who congratulated the faithful and asked for the commitment of all state, social and media structures to put themselves at the service of a more hopeful horizon for young people.

Many citizens turned to cathedrals and churches in different cities of the country to celebrate the holy holiday. While today is Easter lunch. There is no shortage of Easter bread and red eggs on the faithful’s table, which were previously sent to the Catholic Cathedral to be blessed.

Easter eggs are a tradition, they are decorated with different colors and figures, representing symbols of resurrection and rebirth. Easter is celebrated on Sunday, after the 40-day period called Lent, which is a period of fasting. Meanwhile, Holy Week begins on Palm Sunday, continues on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and finally, Easter Sunday.
