Enkelejd Alibeaj reacted after the CEC’s decision not to register DP in the May 14 local elections.

Through a post on his Facebook page, Alibeaj calls the commissioner’s decision politically influenced. Alibeaj says that DP will follow the legal path to finalize the representation on May 14.

“The announced decision of the Commissioner of Elections is clearly politically influenced by political actors interested in DP not being registered in the process of local elections on May 14. As he stated publicly, Mr. Celibashi finds it impossible to separate personal opinions and fandom from legal facts. As a result, his decision prolongs the registration of DP indefinitely and without inherent reasons. Apparently, and even to the limits of the grotesque, the commissioner started only for political service to the opponents of DP, decides to exclude him from the elections. As it happened here 32 years ago, when it was the party in power that allowed only its satellites in elections. This political nonsense, like 32 years ago, happens to Albania today when it is a NATO country and intends to be a member of the EU!
