The chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, reacted to the decision of the CEC, which gave Lulzim Basha 48 hours to register the Democratic Party in the local elections of May 14.

In a press conference, Meta said that this is the madness of the regime of Prime Minister Edi Rama. 

“My position is and remains one, respect for the will and members of the Democratic Party, which was demonstrated in a public and transparent manner through the pulpits and in the partial elections of March 6 of last year. It has also been demonstrated by the act that DP has received. Every citizen of Albania, including the honest socialists, knows the madness of Rama’s regime, but all the democrats know it better. The way he obstructed the recording of the court and the present games. On May 14, the Freedom Party and the real opposition will be there at the polls. On May 14, no vote will be affected. If someone dares to touch it, they will be held responsible”, he emphasized.
