Several people were injured in Kosovo during the New Year’s celebrations.

In an announcement, the Kosovo Police stated that several persons received injuries as a result of the careless use of pyrotechnic tools and firearms.

However, no severe incidents with fatalities were reported, including road accidents.

“According to the reports received from all the Regional Police Directorates (DRP), the new year’s eve has passed mostly peacefully, although in some regions some incidents with bodily injuries and property damage have been reported as a result of the careless use of vehicles, pyrotechnics and firearms. No case or incident with fatalities has been reported, including road accidents”, the announcement of the Kosovo Police states, among other things.
