Chargé d’Affaires VanHorn, Minister Spiropali Discuss Joint Fight Against Crime

U.S. Chargé d’Affaires in Albania, Nancy VanHorn, held a meeting with Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Elisa Spiropali, in her new role following the high-level week of the 80th United Nations General Assembly.

In a statement published on the official Facebook page of the U.S. Embassy, it was announced that the discussion focused on shared objectives as NATO allies, including close cooperation in combating international criminal organizations.

“Dedicated NATO allies ensure that they are prepared to face the new challenges of our time – including sustainable defense spending for long-term security, close cooperation in the fight against international criminal organizations, and fair economic conditions that allow businesses to thrive. Chargé d’Affaires Nancy VanHorn met with Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Elisa Spiropali in her new role, following the high-level week of the 80th United Nations General Assembly,” the Embassy’s statement read.
