Citizens with visual impairments protested on Thursday in front of the municipality of Korca as they claim to not have received their economic aid. According to them, they have not received the aid due to them from 2005 to 2010.
Now, they urge the municipality not to appeal the court’s ruling that decided in their favor over the arrears.
Economic aid is imperative to their welfare, they said, particularly amid their difficult living conditions, adding that they are dismayed by the fact that the municipality is prolonging the entire process.
This problem has also affected people with other physical impairments.
In Korca, there are thousands of people with disabilities that have been forced to go to court to claim what is legally due to them, including here payments that should be paid earlier to them.
