Minister of Education and Sports Evis Kushi announced today some changes that come with the new collective labor contract for pre-university education employees, which was signed today with the Federation of Education and Science Unions of Albania and the Independent Education Union of Albania.

Kushi, through a post, announced some of the innovations in the interest of teachers and students, which come with this renewed contract.

“Any teacher who reaches retirement age, regardless of whether it is the beginning or the end of the school year, can continue working until the end of the teaching period, which lasts an average of 3 months. This innovation will bring to the students the beginning and end of the lesson of a quarter with the same teacher, as a positive factor for the psycho-social development of the students and better results in learning”, – emphasizes the minister.

Meanwhile, teachers qualified as “work disabled” will have not only the teaching load, but also the time spent at work, in accordance with the KMCAP decision.

As for the reduced teaching rate from 6-8 hours per week, it is also benefited by the Chairperson of the Women’s Commission and the Chairperson of the Youth Commission at the national level.
