In a solemn atmosphere, the College of Europe celebrated its 75th anniversary in Brussels, coinciding with the official opening of its third campus in Tirana.

Guests of honor at the ceremony were the mayors of Tirana, Bruges and Warsaw, cities that host the College of Europe.

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj expressed his pride for the inclusion of Tirana as one of the three cities hosting the campuses of this prestigious institution.

“We have great news: from next year the campus will double, as will the number of students, so I am glad that in the same dormitories where the students of the College of Europe live, the Albanian students also live. If we continue with this rate of growth every year with students coming to the Tirana campus, we will truly be a success story”, said the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

The rector of the College of Europe, Federica Mogherini, thanked the mayor of Tirana for his commitment to this historic project, as she added that next year there will be 55 students who will join next year. The campuses of the College of Europe in Tirana, Bruges and Natolin continue to be a bridge for European cooperation and integration.
